Bluetooth and towbars!

Featured Replies

Not together!

Picked up my fantastic V6 3.6 yesterday and great run home. Now sorting things out and struggling with two areas:

Bluetooth - i am not v experienced with this but have a Blackberry Curve that seems to find the car alright but the connection fails. I input the 16digit code, the phone shows a connection with BTSkoda and flashes blue. The car shows "connecting" in the MFD and then comes up with "Connection not possible". I have encryption turned off on the phone and am not sure what to try next.

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

I need a towbar fitted asap and have just spoken to the fitter. Detachable is £300 more than fixed! I don't mind which but he is concerned that the reversing sensors may detect the fixed bar despite the factory fitted "towbar preparation" that I hoped would get around that problem! Do fixed towbars always get picked up by the sensors on these cars?

Thanks for any help,

Regards to all,

Adjan

Ref towbar...I should find a different towbar fitter. You don't say where you are or if the car is hatch or estate but I just looked on Witter Towbars UK website and there's about £80 difference and that's at their prices. I've been quote approx £420 for a detachable but I've not ordered the towbar prep (which I was assured was a waste of time). Reversing for me with van attached will amount to about 30-40 feet on site before I unhitch and switch to the motor-mover. Button next to gear lever will silence the beep-beeps during reversing.

what reg is your car .
