De-tuned vRS

Featured Replies

To standard Fabia owners, please don't take offence by this posting.

When I got my dual switch box, my initial thoughts were to drive "tunned" only a small proportion of the time as it turned out it was for the first 3 months. Anyway switched back to standard 2 weeks ago, now I hate it, no grunt, worried about overtaking, less MPG ( maybe filter / intake mods ).

So just to say if your considering the "dual remap" set up. Only consider it on the basis of a warranty claim thing as this is the only benefit.

Jeeez....when I tested a standard vRS I thought it was damn quick, but I suppose any car would be quick after a 1.2 Punto. Cant imagine what a remapped Fabia would be like!

No offence taken ;) - I reckon it's the same when you drive any 'tuned' car - after all, what's the point of tuning it if it didn't give benefits :D

It's a case of getting used to the power.

When tuned, you get used to the power delivery. When set to standard, you still think it's tuned & expect more!

the moral of the story is - If you really like your Std Furby, DONT tune it.

If you have tuned it and are used to it, then DONT return it to Std. as you'll only be dissappointed.

After driving a tuned car, there is an expectaion it will ALWAYS " Go like stink ".

When you drive it @ STD " REALITY CHECK ". This is how the car was designed.

Be realistict of what you expect from the car. :)

All Furby owners like their cars no matter what mods are done.
