Quite a few ppl have retro fitted.... I suspect the hardest bit is routing the cable for the satnav GPS receiver from the back of the car.

what other units are needed apart from the headunit? g.p.s aerial?

if you buy one from ebay from a trader, they typically come with all thats needed. You can mount the GPS aerial on the dash if you dont want to run a cable to the rear.

I am looking for simillar for my A8, but they are like gold dust and command high prices. The Audi equivalent comes in at £300'ish for the same navigation unit, with a slightly different facia and red illumination.

Do they have an external video input for connecting a reversing camera too?

They do have external video input, so you can run in a DVD player, games console or reversing camera. You would need to buy the appropriate adapter from ebay or your dealer but it can be done.

Interesting I have one of these and love it but I have seen some videos on YouTube where people playing films on it and music files!! How do u connect this up?? Has anyone got aux devices connected to there's and where u get them from

Tried connecting video via a custom mini din plug to fit in the back of the MFD. Couldn't get it to work at all except sound which is useful.

I think the only way to input video is with an adaptor (Kufatec?) very expensive and so I just routed my rear view camera to a 3" screen in the glove box.

Also now have a roof mounted Seat GPS/Aerial which is neater than under dashboard aerial and improves gps reception.
