Repaint.... Your ideas :)

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.. Ive bin on here for some time now and think its about time i put something up :) So as This is my first post I thought I would see what everyone's thoughts are. As we have a lovely long weekend coming up I've decided to stay at work and going to repaint my vrs. It's black at the moment but got a few ideas and thoughts on what I will be doing colour wise.

If you was going to repaint your fabia what colour would you go for??

How radical a change are you going for? I always thought that skeleton mini looked cool...but that's vinyl of course. http://www.carstalke...s/small/322.jpg

Paint wise...one of those dual tone deep blue/purple that alternates colour depending on how the sun is shining on it.....not sure what it's officially called....Maybe it's just my bad taste :$

Mk2 golf grey!

porsche macadamia brown  ftw

Ferrari grigio silverstone :)

I had a scooby before the vrs and painted that blue with purple metal flake what looked awesome when the light hit it. Still got loads of that left + the paint rep from metal flake gave me a pot of very fine green flake on Thursday so that's ticking in my brain weather or not to go with the green flake.

I'm going for a full strip down and repaint as this is another show car project for me

Personally I'm not a big fan of metal flake or glass prisms or anything too fancy, makes it a real nuisance to repair if you damage it as you well know. For a daily driver I would use a metallic or pearl paint... Audi nimbus grey ftw < that's what colour I did my pickup.

lambo asbo green

A deep flame red, matte dark plum details and black rims. Brake calipers in the same shade of red as the body.

That same colour scheme was discussed my teams new Peugeot. We eventually settled on baby blue with red details.

I did my mates r32 about a year ago in a really deep plumb and that did look gorgeous..... He had chrome 20" deep dish what set the car off just right...

I've got 101 colours running around my brain lol

Fancie painting my car while ur at it :-P

i personaly like pastel colours, like gloss pastel blues and grays

gloss brown is also nice, anything that's not common really :-)

Show car?

Solid Orange. inc door handles and grille surround and fins on foglamp surrounds.

Doors de bump stripped.

White OE rims or Spiders on 20mm spacers.

Orange calipers. Lowered 40mm

White spoiler, white vents in side of front bumper.

Full white leather retrim inside inc door cards, steering wheel,

gear gaiter/knob and dash top. Multimedia dual din headunit with 7" touchscreen.

Limo tints all round. ;) (On a show car of course, before anyone gets excited :p )

I also reckon that it might look good in the opposite too. With all the white stuff in black instead.

But Solid orange FTW! B)

Not that you've thought much about it :D

You obviously know exactly what your ideal would be!

Haha I take it it's something you might have thought about lol... I think solid orange with black would look evil ;)

Got an idea what road I'm going down colour etc.... I'll do a page in the projects this coming weekend when the paint side is all done....

Got a r32 lump sitting at work what the boss has given me a price for so that's something else maybe in the pipeline!!

Here is a pic anyway of what she looks like now. Got her standard and just done a little bit in her so far

I've got a idea what road I'm going down with the colour wise but you will just have to wait till the weekend when I start a page in the projects.

On the other side of things, we have a r32 lump what has bin sitting in the garage for about a year and the boss is going to come back with a price for it. So that's something else in the pipeline (maybe)

What about Porsche gt3 orange like my Ibiza which has been this colour for a week now :)IMAG0093.jpgIMAG0094.jpg

The brown on that porsche is epic fair play.

I like the idea of the green from the mk2 fabias as its still abit oem whilst being different.

I would go for a Jaguar blue pearl that I've seen. Looks gorgeous

Audi misano red pearl with various black detailing or sepang blue
