Yey my car is home

Featured Replies

I've been without my car for over 2 months, it got ran into the ground basically, so many things went wrong with it and I was sick of it becoming quite ****ty so took it to Unit 18 and told them to work their magic...

It came back feeling like a new car, can't fault one bit of their work... The car went in like a dog, banging like crazy, massive gearbox issues, down on power, slipping clutch, horrible flywheel noises, boost leaks, creaking and knocking, mullered engine mounts, pulling heavily to the left, rubbing on arch lining and generally just felt like a piece of **** but now it's sooo nice to drive!!

Full service (everything), every bush/joint checked and replaced if needed, complete gearbox overhaul, new custom brake lines (HEL lines designed for the Fabia were too long and got caught on the wheel under heavy suspension load), clutch was mullered and was replated, mounting was snapped, flywheel was remachined, new engine mount, new high performance gearbox oil.. decent brake fluid with a full flush, Meth kit was removed (was useless), new arch liner mounts etc, suspension raised a bit and full 4 wheel alignment running spot on now, tracking perfect, tons of little jobs not even worth mentioning

Kept updated throughout, there's literally no one else that I've ever heard of that would do this kind of work and quote such a cheap price... It's so good that I don't even bother asking how much it's gunna cost, it's gunna be cheaper than anywhere else

Seriously can't recommend them enough, sorry to sing their praises so hard but it's deserved, my car would have been up for sale a long time ago if it wasn't for these guys. If you need any work done, no matter what job give 'em a call

It's good to have her home, feels rapid compared to when she went in, had so many running problems etc but she's sweet now.

Now I just gotta get a new oil cooler sent out as the last one split and I'm ready for the 'how fast' briskoda thingy. Looking forward to that a lot! :)

That is serious tlc well done

Regards Whoosh

Glad you have managed to get your car all sorted and back running to 100%. did you have the centre section of the crash bar cut out whilst it was in or was it already like that?

Good to see it back on the road mate! :D

Good work! Nice to see you back on the road

Good to see it back, is the 1.8T idea still floating about??

Ah nice one, guess you'll get all the thrills you need from a bike anyway
