Getting it sideways at 233mph...

Featured Replies

I bet this was exciting!

I think I crapped my pants for him!

AWESOME!DUDE!!!!!!!

Fuuuuuuuuuuu...

Jesus. Bet that woke him up a bit.

That car is crazy... all the way past the red line in top gear. lol

I like the way the driver is just cooly staring out the passenger side window as he tries to get it pointing back the right way.

Not many of these GTRs driven by good drivers :p :D just kidding lol he handled it very well, didnt look like he was a bit phased

I know, they are forever crashing into things. ;)

Sidewind maybe caught the chute?

Mental, did well not to flip it I guess!

Damn! Grande cojones!

He hit a dip in the runway at the same time the chute was let out which lifted the back wheels (Y)

jeeeese!!!! how did he keep a straight face and no reaction at all! haha

Awesome!

There is a slow mo bit at the end where you see the backend lift and then when he gets sideways there is only 1 or 2 wheels on the ground.

I recon he needed a change of underwear after that!

Some poo came out!

I suppose the chute helped with stability when it lost the rear end.

To spend all that money, preparation, safety, sponsors etc then use a runway which obviously wasn't adequate for the test.

Why use a chute anyway ? You'd think he was going for the land speed record.

Typically American.

If he didnt have a chute it would of been a whole lot worse, and because a chute slows you down quicker and they wanted to get record speed for a gt-r so a chute gives them more full throttle time

bet he had brown trousers lol. he did not look that scared tbh

The chute was necessary! Unless someone knows different :moon:

Why they used a 'poor surface' in the first place is beyond me.

If they would have gone to a suitable testing location (as most would) then the parachute was not needed and the 'incident' wouldn't have happened.

Mclaren F1, Bugatti Veyron, and all the usual testing for top speed is done properly with adequate room for braking without parachutes. The 'WOO HOO' at the end and the 2 finger salute sums up the entire test.

God bless America :notme:
