Self Levelling - Xenon

Featured Replies

Afternoon all,

I have recently changed the xenons on my 2004 L&K Octavia Estate.

Since the change over, my self-levellers have stopped working.

Is there something I have to do to get them working again?

It cant be a coincidence that they stop working after I changed the xenons.

Any help appreciated,

Thanks

James

Check the small plug on the passenger side lamp is plugged in properly as this connects to the levelling controller.

I did that, once I noticed they weren't working, I stripped them out again and made sure all the plugs were in properly.

Thanks

James

It's an odd one, but inside the lights there is a little black plug in each, right near the leveller. Mine didn't work until I'd given them a definite shove back in.

That's probably the ticket. Take it apart again and make sure everything is seated. I'm not happy with the fogs anyway!

Thanks

James

The fogs are ****e. I've tried to get an 'ultimate white' effect for ages and can't bleedin' do it. :(

One of the ball joints on the link rod under the NSF arch was detached on my car, a new rod cost £38 from skoda - its a heath robinson affair attached to the wishbone. HTH
