Morning all,

Was looking to replace my standard gear knob(looking for a 5 speed Vrs one if any one has one going spare!!)

Spotted this on Ebay and was wondering if anyone knows if this is a direct fit.

Don't do a 5 speed VRS one as they six speed.

Surely one from a Octavia vrs would be 5 speed?

Yeah the mk1 Octavia vRS is 5 speed.

If the gearknob from that doesn't fit, you could always fit one from a Fabia vRS, then change the plastic insert at the top for an Octavia one?

The elegance ones are quite nice.

Just a wee update,my shiny new gear knob dropped through the door this morning,fitted after lunch and well pleased with the result!!Ended up having to go for an Octavia 5sp with chrome finish but only cost £14 delivered so well happy.

Got a pic of it? Sounds nice. Where did you get it?

Yep,exactly the same as the Elegance one only mine was supplied as a gear knob only,I had a bit of a faff about refitting the knob to the gaiter with the clip supplied but got there eventually.

Company I ordered from took my order at 14.30 and it was delivered next morning so 10/10 to them.
