PORSCHE CAPS - NOW POSTED - POSTED - POSTED - POSTED

Featured Replies

I would post up pics of them on my car BUT :wall: , took it for an Aircon service at the dealer, it packed in when it was roasting, apparently it is the codes in the ecu have gone haywire, they will have to flash to latest software, then I take it back to Revo to have Reflashed again, but Skodas computer has gone down now so have caps but no car!

Sorry to update you with this I tried and tried to get the oil cap to go back together at an angle, it will only fit one way so will not fit a m2, will have posted earlier but I was without my car, sorry guys

You can see that the cap has cuts to fit the base. I made new cuts with a cutter knife to be able to turn the cap on its base.

Cannot see clear on your pics how these original cuts are aligned, but it worked on the R8 cap.

Theses fit on ny mk1 fabia fine

You must of given up too easy, I have got mine fitted to the mk2 tfsi engine. Needed to cut 2 extra slits to get it lined up, it can be done.

Yes I was going for a bike ride so did not have too much time and yes was about to post on they fit if you cut, but did not want to tell people to cut them , anyway they are on, you cannot alter the water cap though to make horizontal , tried that too

Yes in the cap half, ( lover photo I broke the lugs at 12 and 6 o clock , the photo is scewif 2012-06-07100257.jpg2012-06-10145615.jpg

Here is a couple of pictures of mine fitted to my mk4 ibiza cupra.

My water cap was a bit loose where as the old one clicked into position and wouldnt come undone with a good old twist so ive fitted a small o ring to the top thread so its nice and tight now and they look so much nicer than the standard ones.

Once again thanks to Scott and Lloyd.

Better not break the lugs, as the oil cap can become sticky and then all the power put on the cap should get into the base.

Best way is to make extra slits with a cutter knife.

Ooooo that engine cover is very cool barney :)

Does it have a part number on it ?? Although the seat looks imprinted ??

Or does it pop out ( the whole carbon bit )

Quick pic with the caps on my octy!

Its the standard engine cover mate but ive added the carbon fibre part as the original piece that was on there started to lift and just looked untidy so i made a new piece and stuck it on. I bought a sheet of real carbon fibre from ultimate dubs last year about 2'x5' for £20 then made the engine cover part and the number plate surrounds as seen below. It could do with a new Seat Sport sticker as its not the best if im honest.
