Featured Replies

Going round a corner tonight not too quickly and the esp abs and low tyre pressure lights all illuminated, also esp/abs error showed on maxidot. Is this a major problem seen a few posts on abs sensor problems but seems to be older cars mine is less than a year old.

no-one know anything or is it a contact the garage job?

If its less than a year old get it in the garage under warranty! If for some reason your warranty is void, best bet is to find someone on here or another VAG car forum who has VCDS+Hex Can and have them do a diagnostics check on your car, plenty of people have it on here and would be willing to help it's just finding someone local.

called skoda assist who are coming out tomorrow will see where this leads

People really need to put up car details with faults, what year, engine petrol / diesel etc!

He did,2011 octavia vrs tsi with abs/esp warning lights on. Vannus, this should be a warranty repair job,id book it into your local dealer for them to have a look at it,let us know what the outcome of the fault is.

Well, technically he didn't put his car details up, but obviously they're in his profile. However, that's not actually visible if you're using the mobile skin.

Skoda assist just left appears to be G46 left rear speed sensor. Apparently require to be booked in to get wheel bearing cleaned and reseated to see if this works if not wheel bearing gets replaced.

Guy had a technical bulletin on his system with all the fault details.

I think I've had at least 4 speed sensor's replaced over the life of our Octavia. At Christmas two went (one was gone for a couple of months before I got round to getting it fixed) so I had the ASR/ABS lights plus a red light and a warning tone from the dash.

Anyone know what causes the sensors to fail? Is it just down to where they're located and muck / wet / corrosion? Is it possible to clean them or is it a dealer visit?
