PAS Bleeding

Featured Replies

Replacing my PAS pump this afternoon on my vRS.

Is the only way to bleed it the way it describes in the Haynes manual or can it be done with VCDS or any other way.

Thanks

I have replaced a PAS pump on a polo before and I just swapped it over and topped up the reservoir, worked fine and never had problems in 2years or more, so not sure what the bleeding procedure is ? :) just bolt it on hook up pipes and topup.

When you have replace the parts, and topped up, lift the wheels off the ground and with the engine running

go from lock to lock a few times and this will bleed it

From memory Haynes suggests doing the lock to lock 10 times or so as I checked this before I did my angle sensor.
