Cruise control retrofit to Superb S

Featured Replies

Can this be done?

I've seen some posts to suggest that it can but that it is complicated.

I asked for cruise to be fitted to the car as condition of sale.

Dealer has now called to say can't do it.

Anyone had it done recently?

I don't see why cruise can't be retrofitted to a Superb, as it has been added to Octys countless times. The entire lefthand stalk is generally replaced with one fitted with the switch to operate cruise control.

That itself is an issue as they are no longer individual stalks and they have changed the column ecu as its now integrated into the slip ring.

But the answer is yes but need to know what controller you have to see if that's comparable.

Hi Tech1e

My superb is a 2011 1.4TSI S estate and my dealer is struggling to find out the details.

Do you have a kit number for one that would be suitable for that one.

Cheers

As far as I'm aware there isn't a kit from Skoda for your vehicle so I doubt a dealer will be able to help you. Without a kit it won't be type approved so they may not be able/willing to do it.

If you fancy a trip down to Hertfordshire then it can be fitted from £180 (if the car has MFD)

For a MY12 car (or if it has no MFD) then the price goes up.

Non Skoda parts will invalidate warranty.

They do state that they are OEM Seat parts though.
