Accidently just bought an Octavia vRS...

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!

Our Mazda 5 2.0D Sport is reaching its 6th birthday and needs to go (2 breakdowns in those 6 years) - the expensive cambelt service is imminent so my wife and I packed the kids in the car and headed off to our local Hyundai dealership to look at the i40 estate. The salesman wasn't interested in giving us a test drive, despite the car arriving back as we watched. So we booked a test drive for a week later and headed off.

Popped in to Ford - no Mondeo estates...!

Next door to Ford was Skoda. Made to feel very welcome, cbeebies and lollies provided for the kids! We explained what we were after (nearly new Octavia estate) and our budget and lots of work was put in to finding us something. Eventually the salesman found a brand new black Octavia vRS estate for almost our budget as they'd 'knocked off the VAT'. Loaded with options such as sunroof, rear parking sensors and full leather.

Took one out for a test drive - hooked :o)

It arrives in 2 weeks - can't wait....

Enjoy and you won't regret it- they are brilliant !!

+1 welcome aboard.

Excellent choice. Just hope you've not ordered a yellow one like mine. :giggle:

I doubt he has. :)

Oops...missed that. Good spot.

Welcome to the club :)

Great tale glad the other dealers failed in getting your business as genuinely do think you've ended up with a better car for a better price and newer! Enjoy and get us some pics when it arrives please :D

ps did you go for the petrol or the proper VRS? :whew: (stands by for abuse)

Hello and Welcome to Briskoda.

It's good to hear that the Skoda Dealer made you feel welcome including the kids. Please do take a look in the 'Retailer Network Reviews' section of the website - See if the Skoda Garage you got the Octy from is there. I'm sure that they would love to read some good feedback on Briskoda (It's well known Skoda UK use this website also). To save time, the direct link can be found here: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/forum/53-skoda-retailer-network-reviews/

Enjoy the new car, is it petrol or derv? That's the real question! Please do make sure you also post up some pictures!

Hope this helps,

Rob.

Well, went to collect it this afternoon.

What can I say? Looks great, and I love the engine! Long weekend now to really test it out (including a trip to Ikea!!!)

Good choice of motor mate, welcome!

Hello and welcome, an excellent choice indeed. Shame about one of its maiden voyages is to Ikea lol.

Welcome! .......and good choice! (although a petrol one is more sporty but it sounds like the oil burner fit your requirements better).
