You had a megane RS previously? If so then I can understand the lack of power. Maybe a remap would solve it but then then the handling NEEDS sorting as it can't cope with the power. Torque steers a lot and doesn't inspire confidence in corners. 1k on mods could see you where you want to be I reckon

I will come round, its an accumulating problem,, I have had all my cars in the garage under lock and key, now on the front under an expensive car cover

I will be better after a good drive out

The main emphasis was size silver regarding boot space and all round ability for the price

Looks like a remap is on the cards then mate

They're not that quick as standard to be honest, but remapped is a different story. As Nicky said it's worth spending the money to change the suspension too. I did all that on day 2 after picking it up.

Did you buy a petrol or diesel vrs?

I like the idea of blue fin but you seem to dismiss them,,,,

The remap makes 1st and most of 2nd useless but 3rd, 4th and 5th are much much improved. Ive been back to stock for a while and have really enjoyed using 2nd gear again. May be better with handling type mods but I didnt bother.

I've never had a problem with 1st or 2nd but then I don't floor it. The suspension mods do make a difference though.

ffs 250vrs I was looking forward to this thread and you've gone and wrecked it :( best start liking it quick and get some pics up regardless!

ps I had never driven an Octavia until I collected mine either and had only say in passenger seat of an old one once. I had to get it remapped as its a legal requirement for the CR TDi accept no substitutes Shark/Revo/SuperChips here you come.
