Bizarre window switch

Featured Replies

Today when I got in my car I noticed the rear left window was ever so slightly open, when I went to close it the switch opened it more! I checked and the switch was working in opposite fashion lowering it when it should be rising and vice versa!

I checked the rear switch for that window and it was the same reversed operation.  All other window switches work as normal and I know for a fact that the window concerned switch worked properly before!

I just hope the accelerator pedal switch is more reliable ;)

OK had it in the dealer for its cambelt, mentioned the window switch and they had no idea how this could have happened. It also affects the open and closing with the key fob as the left rear window now does not open with the others and opens as the others close :(

it is a quirk that sometimes happens, another one that you may see is suddenly the front window switches are reversed. its a software bug, but it does usually sort itself out in a few days.

I remember reading a thread long time ago that you can reset the window switches but I can't find it now :(
