Mk5 Gti Coilovers on a vRS?

Featured Replies

I'm looking to get lower with my vRS,

I currently have H&R shocks and springs, does anybody know if coilovers from a mk5 Gti will fit a vRS ok?

I know that they are rated for different weights etc, but is there much difference between a vRS hatch and a Gti?

Anybody fitted Gti suspension to a vRS before, any advice?

Thanks

They will physically fit but the spring rates on the rear are too low mate, think your better getting vrs kit personally.

As Pete has said, you will need to fit vehicle specific suspension, otherwise your ar5e end will be sparking a tad!

If you decide to sell you H&R stuff, drop me a PM:)

I'm running ap coilovers from a mk5 with no probs. And with loads of adjustment either way.

I stand corrected then, but very surprised.........

Spring rates - got to be careful - there's a reason eibach quote a different rate for estates...
