Just looking through the manual for the fabia. Information display is naturally not functioning on my fabia classic.

What model's were the information display fitted to? Is it correct that it is only available if the sat nav system is fitted?!

My dash does appear to have the display fitted (annoying black square which literally does nothing. Question is can it be retrofitted? IS it possible to simply change something on the ecu to enable it or is there a considerable amount of work necessary?!

are you thinking of a maxidot display? have a quick search on here, google or ebay to see if its what you mean.

Yeah it's the maxidot. I have had a look most threads are people wondering if something isn't working. For me I know it wasn't fitted but i'd like to get it working on my classic if it isn't a big job. Is it standard on the vrs then?

Maxidot wasnt standard on any car, was a big optional extra on vrs's, an expensive one at that!

In a nutshell... Not possible, save ya money.

Cool, thought I might be the case. Managed to do it on an old volvo I had with a ecu flash and a switch.
