Used vRS decision, help!

Featured Replies

We are just about to purchase a Petrol vRs and have a choice of the following two;

10 plate Candy White hatch, 21k, no options

59 plate Racing Blue hatch, 22k, full leather

The Blue one is £600.00 cheaper, cannot decide which one to go for!

Any advice with regards to resale? Is the leather better than the half?

Would a blue one be an easier sell in 5 years time?

Cheers!

Personally I think white is an acquired taste. The top three car colours for as many years as I can remember have been Silver, Black and Blue and usually in that sort of order. Many on here will tell you race blue is really boring and common. To me that just adds weight to the argument to get a blue - put simply more people like that colour! It's you're choice and the leather is a great bonus too!

Hi, I have the full leather, preferred over the standard, my view... what other options are on it? nice to know what its selling for  ... especially if the white one has none (cant believe a car with no options!) as above I think Blue will be easier to sell... no saying it'll get a premium for it though

I quite like the vrs in white, its hard to pick without seeing the cars, apart from full leather has one got more options than the other? is one in better condition? mine is blue & it is a common colour but a very nice colour.Either car sounds like a good choice! ;)

I would go for Blue with full leather and its cheaper to start with.

I always spot a VRS if its blue!

Blue will be easier to keep clean for the 5 years and you will get the benefit of the leather for the 5 years and £600 saved at todays fuel prices will get you at least 20 miles :D . But if I were you and intending to keep for 5 years with the difference in those spec colour and prices id pick which ever one I liked more! Sod the person who will buy it for a fraction of the price in 5 years he/she can take what their given.

Would go for the blue one, personally, £600 and more options? Yes please.

Is a 59 plate not a 2009?Or am I mixed up with uk reg,s.

I'd go blue I always had white cars and this is my first blue and I love it :)

I know of a red and silver Vrs over here and there not selling as everyone wants blue. It's there signature colour really.

I have a white one and love it, I think it really stands out, the blue in my view is the 'signature' colour, all the more reason to have something different to the signature colour, if you are looking at long term ownership the colour makes no difference on resale etc it is purely down to what you like, as for options they are very much personal taste, personally I dont like full leather in the VRS the half leather is so much nicer, I have just refused a car that had full leather as a free upgrade on a new one, as I personally dont like it, the cloth on the half leather is tasteful and looks nice.

Again, its all down to personal taste, perhaps go and drive them both and get a feel for the cars and decide then maybe?

Either way you will end up with a cracking car, enjoy :-)

I'm not a huge fan of the leather ether, I do love the new cloth Vrs interior tho in black with red stitching ;)

Blue with leather for me. Up to your personal preference.

Either way you'll get a great car!
