Guys, looking to replace my central concel from standard black to the vRS carbon look. I've got the ashtry & gear surround but need to get the centre concel part. My car has the normal turny knobs, do vRS's come in non climate options?

I think the surround will still be the same regardless if it's climate or standard controls.

I always thought the std controls were in a sealed unit like the climate but after checking autotrader images your right. I guess it would be a pain to upgrade?

All the UK vRS's came with climate control, however those sold in Southern Ireland (Eire) were fitted with a standard heater, and climatronic was an optional extra. You'll need the trim from an RHD car as LHD is slightly different.

M8 all the Vrs owners seem to be wrapping their dash in black carbon wrap, if I was you id do that lol

This must be true as I've seen a few vRS's here without the climate control. Have a look on www.donedeal.ie for someone breaking one or the local forum www.VAGdrivers.net they might be willing to ship it.

Quick question for all you UK owners. When increasing the fan speed on the climate control does it generally take a lot of presses to put to max or is it just mine?

Was thinking about it, but I would rather unclip & replace with a Vrs one rather than messing about with the wrap. Having said that I fancy carbon wrapping a couple other interior trim parts.
