Really Peed Off - Help please

Featured Replies

Car been in the shop for a few days reying to find coolant leak to no avail. Ended up changing expansion tank to see if that helps, but thats not the story.

On leaving I pulled out of a junction and almost got rear ended by a coach as the car has absolutely no boost. Engine Management Light and ASR Light both on.

Ran VAGCOM check to find these codes

18000 - Altitude Sensor/Pressure Sensor - Implausible Correlation

17569 - Manifold Temp Sensor - Open or Short to Plus

18265 - Load Signal Error - Message from ECU P1857

The mechanic did mention when they were looking for the leak they noticed the sensor connected to the lower intercooler pipe had corroded wiring (belives it is the pressure sensor)

Have car booked in Monday to get this sorted but do you think this is the cause of the problem or is it likely to be something else.

any suugestions to what I may try in the mean time

I have searched the forum and google but nothing of much help Im afraid

cheers guys (and girls)

Yeah if the map sensor is disconnected it will be in limp mode so no boost.
