Miles per gallon

Featured Replies

Got my Fabia vRS 01/03/2005 and it has been averaging 48/49 MPG

Now got 5000 on the clock and suddenly today on a 300 mile round trip it has done 57.2!!!! "does not compute"

If that 300 miles has been done on a motorway then that sounds about right. Bear in mind your normal average would have been for around town etc I'm guessing?

over 90% of my driving is on motorways, so no not really. I live 1.5 miles from M1 and all the offices I visit are usually within 1-2 miles of a motorway.

Today was as congested as usual and I drove normally (for me anyway)

a) see if it does it again tomorrow

B) both my Fabias have loosened up quite suddenly at 5 - 8000 miles, so maybe yours is, too.
