Everyone i know who has tried to sell their car recently has struggled.....not because they were bad cars or even overpriced.....just the fact that certain cars can't be given away at the mo.

Has anyone had to sell a good vrs for next to nothing or given up and kept it?

Just wondered if the fabia vrs is still a sought after car?

Aye,have my vRS SE up for what i think is a good price and have had some utterly shocking offers. Think its the market just now im afraid.

Wont be letting it go for less than i think is acceptable though.

I've just put mine up but I'm not holding my breath over it going quickly. Having said that I've been to two dealers with a view to trading in and with a bit of haggling I was offered what I thought was a reasonable price to trade in.

might nip round a few local garages and see if they would stick it on their forecourt for a cut of the sale price.

the car my wife wants is a private sale so dont want to spend a chunk of the savings and have the vrs sat there collecting dust :(

I've often thought about trying to use someone els's name to sell my car's.... didnt think they would be up for it though, simply for the reason if someone comes in interested they have to say somthing like "Yeah its a great car! ...but i dont own it, give this guy a ring to find out more"

The garage would rather buy it off you cheap and sell it top whack.

I don't know about England but here in Ireland they are very hard to sell on, ended up taking £3750 for my 06 with 85k on the clocks was standard bar a set of spiders

There are also a lot for sale guys, there is so much choice but also as said there is a flop in the Market as people penny pinch, thinking

That upgrade to a nicer car isn't top of the list no more

I found the opposite.

Mine was only advertised on here a week and it was sold.

I do think that people are asking over the odds for some of them though, which doesn't help.

+1 Sell Mine? Nah!! It is worth more as the sum of it's parts.

I don't wish to imagine the day I come to sell my furby, I'm usually bored of cars within 3 months however had my fab over 2 years and still love it!!
