  • So today I took the cluster surround out and thought I'd attempt to carbon wrap it.... Alot more difficult that I thought..... So first attempt was an utter fail. Started with this: Got to this :

  • Nice work. Tempted to do my glovebox as the wife has covered it in scratches with her handbags, and putting her feet up on it!

That's all you need to remove buddy the bottom section is just clipped in pull it outwards carefully it will come out.

Good luck on covering it though as I gave up due to it being a big stretch on the wrap. Spent a few hours covering it and you have to cut the wrap in the middle to allow it to fold down but when you do that it shrinks and will not cover the panel, then when i managed a reasonable job the heat in the car from the sun made it curl up

Pull it and just before it feels like its gonna break it'll come off lol.

Thought id broke mine a few times when taking it off but has been fine lol

What carbon stuff did you use? And how hard was it to do the glove box?

I used Oracal carbon wrap (about 8pounds 100x127mm)....the glove box was the easiest, just need to trim it perfect at the edges

ps: don't laugh but the glove box was my mother's idea....she told me the dash is incomplete without the glove box wrapped

I have a cool mom

Did you heat it?This foil is very maleable when heated,I mean you can cover anything

And not the last....

Does you mother also help you buy stuff for it? He so I wanna swap! lol

Unfortunately,not

Need to use a heat gun to do it properly to get it a little bit stretchy then you can pull it from multiple directions to make the curves work, Used it a few times and did most of my 306 interior when I had it.... Quite tempted to do the centre console as I still have some left

looks good, did you need to stretch it much.

did you start with a flat piece from the front and work it in to the back.

You have to stretch it very much...

I failed first time,in the lower corners you'll get all the foil from the upper side(after stretching),and you can't get rid of it

So I wrapped it in 2 pieces, you can barely see that,is much easy

I did the air vents too...the whole interior looks very good imo, love it

Is damn hot outside,I forgot to take a picture

2 pieces? Can't see the join!

here they are

the foil is very thin, after stretching is even thinner,so the joints are allmos invisible

Very impressed m8 you've done well!!

thanks!

Looks good, only way i could tell yours is 2 pieces is by the direction of the pattern difference.

I did mine in one go

And thought great until is started peeling off due to way too stretched. So will go the 2 piece route I think

How do you remove the light switch surround ?

Push in and twist
