My 2000 GLXI with tow bar has been scrapped by the insurance company....

Can anyone suggest what parts to keep to sell on?

I have a full size spare and tool kit etc - is any of it worth taking off the car to sell on ebay.

It gets taken on friday so i need to be quick getting the bits off it.

if anyone was interested in parts they would need to be collected Thursday evening (unless easy for me to remove)from Fareham Hampshire.

Thanks

Get the doorcards off and remove all the locks and microswitches off of it, there are always central locking problems coming up on here... people will be after replacements.

Dialset may be worth taking out.

Stereo (and if you've got it the 6 disc changer) can be sold on ebay for £50-80

Not sure if the GLXi has heated seats but if so take those out someone might want those to upgrade their lower spec model.

I would but my central locking had already gone lol !!!

Dialset is a bit beyond me was thinking easier stuff like cig lighter, ash tray, full size spare wheel etc

Spare wheel and tools worth taking out.

Not sure about cig lighter.

Does it have an armrest? They're like rocking horse poo.

OK

no has no armrest - was pretty much top spec though I think as had CD player in it.

Have you bought it back from the insurer?

If not then it belongs to them and they will sell it on to a breaker to recover the parts.
