I think there should have been a NSFLAHLAN warning. Not suitable for listening at home late at night warning. I had the dyno vid playing though my Home entertainment system at the time, I think my neighbours will be having words later on today

 

I like the Piper exhaust vid, the sound reminds a bit of the fruity noise that highly tuned Fords used to make in the 70/80s. That Ford Rally sound if you know what I mean

Well I can therefore testify your musical taste is slightly different to mine, but you would get on with my brother like a house on fire

Haven't put anything in here for a while.

 

So - dashcam is sorted now. A combination of dodgy earth wiring and fake 32Gb SD cards caused my issues.

I also rewired the earth to may gauges and they read properly now. The oil temp gauge kept going up and up when driving eventually sticking at 150+. Scary and also misleading. We did 1867km in 4 days a couople of weekends ago and even when driving hard up hills it never went above 95, mostly sticking at about 85 which is the temperature at which the oil cooler starts working.

 

Two weeks ago we did the Gumboot Rally - which was awesome!

Stickers are off. All of the external ones! I took the Skoda Motorsport one off too after I took the photo. Car now needs a wash, de-stickying and polish.

A bad thing happened. Car was parked for a few minutes and someone hit it and drove off.

 

 

It sulked by the sea.

I am starting to have serious thoughts about stripping a few of the mods from the car with a view to selling later in the year. I've only done about 8000km a year over the last five, and I need to finance the Audi quattro build or I'm going to be paying for that for years to come

Not to mention the mortgage/child/menagerie etc.

That would be a shame but ends to meet and all that. Good luck with whatever you decide to do and I'm sure it'll sell very easily.

Well, I've been so focused on the quattro recently I completely forgot about the Skoda's "birthday" last week.

Well it looks like the end is nigh. I've advertised my vRS for sale on a local forum.

Pulled out the Recaros and the sub, and sub amp. Also the heavyweight shifter knob and Porsche oil and coolant caps.

We'll see if I get any interest.

 

If/when it sells we'll put the money into a newer car for SWMBO.
