Although the wheels on my vRS were refurbished, whatever was done wasn't a thorough job as the kerbing marks from the previous owners, and brake dust corrosion are all showing up again. I also think black would suit the car better, so am thinking about having them painted - how specialist is this, and what are the pitfalls / things to look out for when finding someone to do it!

How about Plastidipping them? About £15 a wheel, very easy, and pretty easy to remove at a later date.
