A huge 'Thank You' to Cliff (PastyBoy) for organising Bedford

Seeming as though the original thread is now running into it's 28th page, I didn't want this to get buried within it

I'm sure I speak for everyone who attended at Bedford today in congratulating you for all the efforts you put in to making this event happen

I've never done a track day before, but this certainly won't be my last (shame, I hear you all cry)

The weather unfortunately put a dampener on it being a more sociable occasion after the driving was over, but all the same, I think a great time was had by one and all

I started off pretty much in awe of the whole thing, but in the end, as with any good thing, left wanting more

Thanks again

Bryan

Here Here,

Many thanks and appreciation Cliff.

Like Bry, it was my first track day and I was finding my feet and taking it easy on the car but I had a great day and will defo consider it again. Just a shame there isnt a venue a bit closer to all of us up north.

Thanks again Cliff

Well done Mr. Pasty!! That's two more who've been bitten by the bug after a few laps at an event organised by you!!!

See you both @ Castle Combe in September then??

Combe's a long way to go for 15 minutes on track - Bedford seems better value all round, unless I'm missing something

Ditto thanks for arranging the day! It was great and has really opened my eyes to what the Octavia is able to do.

Yes, great job Cliff.

I did note that look of surprise when you found out your time, Mike......

Cheers Brimdog you say the sweetest things :D

Organising was no problem at all gents - I'll take all the plaudits but technically all i did was ring MSV and ask them to hold on to the session for us ;)

Hopefully we'll get chance to do the whole thing again; I'm thinking of a end of (motorsport) season rematch.

As the track bug seems to have bitten a few more members what do people think about a Briskoda track day - or at least heavy Briskoda participation in one

Sounds like a plan, or two.

I prefer with no rain if you can manage that. Or I'll use the Yeti. :)

Indeed you're missing the opportunity to spend the day in the company of your fellow briskodians, present the JPS Octavia to the masses of people on the club stand, oh and have some cake!!

I'd manage an airfield day this year I think

What circuit did you do? I did South West on Friday and that was massive fun.

Bedford is definitely amateur friendly. Huuugeee run off areas :giggle:

Thanks again Cliff brill day,how about sorting one at oulton in the :rain:

What about llandow? It's around £1,500 for the track for a full day, split that between 15-20 people and it'd be great!

I know a few boys who'd offer tuition too
