ABS wheel sensor fault?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, sometimes when I'm braking if I hit a manhole cover or sometimes even when I brake over those god awful rumble strips, the ABS kicks in, I just wondered if this was normal or if anyone else has experienced similar issues? Car was in for a full service a few weeks back and the VCDS / VAGCOM printout never showed any faults with ABS or anything else. Any thoughts/ answers welcomed and appreciated. Lee

Its normal afaik its just picking in the wheel skiding over the manhole cover ect and doing its job sounds normal to me

thanks, m-davey, it has given the odd 'brown trouser' moment before I lift off and press again!

yeah seems pretty normal to me and you have to love the split second when you think your not going to stop

Yes, normal for me too.
