OEM Sharkfin - Talk to me

Featured Replies

Ok well after following a dumb ass guide somewhere in the depths of Briskoda turns out the guide has given me the wrong part number.

Can anyone tell me what parts number(s) I need to install a OEM sharkfin aerial?

Bellow image is standard aerial connection (bottom) and the sharkfin (top)... no where near. (you were right mattie)

Connection spot on with that one? Signal strong?

Sorry! Yeah it has the right connection for what you need and signal was very good indeed.

This was the other end of it

Get that ordered then. Another 24 hour wait gr lol

Or an adapter such as eBay item 110858379333 would work.

That would have to be ran to the HU tho.

Mattie the above Sharkfin you had fitted must not be genuine the part number isn't valid so TPS have said.

Im sure you can adapt the new with the old mate?

I'm hoping so anyway....

I am pretty nifty with DIY stuff and I couldnt see a way... :( Might just stick a C2 stubby on or a S2000 one.

Damn.

The one I buy will most def have the newer one on. All shark fins with GPS have the new design aerial plug.

I am just looking on eBay and there is a antenna module that has a 12v supply and you hide it anywhere ie dash or something and it connects to back of hu.

£40 tho

Really? I must admit I got it off here so I'm not sure on the number. What car were they off originally and I'll hav a look on etka

MK5 Golf people are saying but I don't like ordering special order from TPS as you dont get the change to get your cash back :/

Passat also, plus a lot of audis. But most of them use the newer aerial plug.
