You sure you have an alarm fitted? They were dealer fit options

The VRS just came with an immobiliser as standard.

The normal horn is used as a signal when coding new keys to the car so I suppose if an alarm was factory fitted it would use the normal horn as well.

Mine has a little speaker right under the steering wheel in the unusable cubby of doom.

It works, too, as my hapless girlfriend has found out many times when I've locked her in the car at a petrol station.
