VCDS scan results - any help appreciated!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Prompted by the Engine Management light coming on my Fabia 1.4 Classic (2002) a couple of weeks ago, I invested in a cable and VCDS-Lite to check the error codes. The scan came up with these results:

As a novice when it comes to these things, is there anything there that leaps out as being a major problem? In terms of how the car is running, it has been shuddering when idle more than usual for the last couple of weeks (about the time the engine light started coming on) and it seems there may be a coolant leak somewhere, as the Check Coolant light comes on sometimes (though it has done since I've owned the car for two years intermittently!) and I have had to top it up every couple of months or so recently. Does anything in the above seem like it might be causing that?

I looked up the 01598 code and that said it referred to the battery being faulty - I did fit a new battery about a month ago, but it seemed to work OK, but judging from the above codes, could that be an issue?

Any help greatly appreciated!

The fault codes could be from some time ago. You can either register the free version or manually look up each code on the VCDS section of the ross tech site.

I get codes '17549 Load Calculation Crosscheck'.. 'P1141 Intermittent' at least once every month, something to do with exhaust emmissions I believe.

I take no notice of them anymore, just wipe them clean and get on with it.
