Featured Replies

Hi,

Mark and i have just been on a rolling road day.... apprently the rollers were over reading by 14% so the day was cancelled and refunds were given.... however 3 VAG cars ran one was a 1.8T VW BUG and my otcy and marks octy.... now the BUG ran after us and got the same reading as he did last time it ran on a diffrent roller ... but apprently the road had been reading wrong from the start...

Anyways on to the point the 180BHP book figure quoted by skoda is that at the wheels or at the fly?? same for the quoted figures from jabba for there remap..?

Joel

fly

Here is some light reading for you.

Jabba DIMSPORT dyno readouts show engine power, wheel power (the lowest figure) and DIN 70020 Rule power (the highest). I believe that European manufacturers quote DIN 70020 figures.

Meaurements of power and torque are usually made to one of three standards: SAE J1349, ECE 85 or DIN 70020. The SAE standard specifies operating conditions of 99 kPa / 29.23 InHg of dry air and 25

ok so its deffinatly at the fly?... so my figures that were maybe about right... it said 220bhp at the fly and 180 at the wheels - 14% coz of the over read so ~ 190 at the fly...
