Courtesy lights not working

Featured Replies

I had some spare led strips lying about so yesterday I decided to add some footwell lighting, wired them into the cigarette lighter and worked without a problem.

However now the courtesy lights at the bottom of the doors dont come on, neither does the one in the roof, it no longer comes on at all, the map lights do however come on seperately. Cigarette lighter still works aswell. I've checked the fuses and nothing is blown so not really sure whats happened.

I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to wiring etc but all the connections were soldered properly and like I said the footwell lighting itself is working. I'm not sure about the other buttons, switches etc as its too light to see them but the instrument cluster still lights up without a problem.

Anyone got some ideas about whats happened? I'm going on the assumption I've messed up somewhere, just not sure where!

To be honest mate, it has to be a fuse as i cant see what else you could have done.
