honestjohn's mot report - Roomster

Featured Replies

I see from the honestjohn MoT report, that failure of suspension arms seems to be a weakness with the Roomster. Mine is an 07, and although before last year's MoT I noticed clonking when near full left lock, it passed the MoT.

Probably about two months later the Roomster was serviced, and nothing was flagged up. When the Roomster was serviced I took out the fixed price service plan as it worked out better value for me; there was an option with the fixed price servicing for the MoT test protection which I chose.

The MoT will be due again in a month's time and while the clonking isn't that much worse, after looking at HJ's report I'm anticipating it might fail on this. The MoT test protection would appear to cover the failure of the suspension arms - it says '...suspension drag links, track rods/ends ...are covered for failure due to wear, seizure, leakage and insecurity' (up to 750 pounds).

Has anyone here claimed on the MoT test protection with items similar to the suspension arms?
