Just got a call from the skoda workshop ... I have to get the camshaft adjuster replaced because of a re call by skoda !!

Anyone have any news about this ..! My car s an 09 model FL 1.8tsi.

Is this all over or only a select batch of cars ? I'll be going to the workshop in a day or two and will find out more.

Is this a big deal ? Not too excited about getting the engine and heads opened up ... My car s only done 15k till date .!

And did skoda wake up after 3 years to realise my car has faulty part ?

What's going on ?

I'd say it's a big enough deal you should have it done.

Not many details given by Skoda, just stated that certain chassis numbers need to have this thing changed...

A quick search revealed that audi s on the a5 chassis also are facing the same problem and are getting their adjusters replaced foc.

just got mine replaced by skoda

is this cam adjuster recall in Uk too? over here in india they are having a recall for few 1.8tsi engines, the octavia2 & superb both..
