Discount to expect-New Octavia Estate

Featured Replies

Hi,

My company car lease comes to an end in September so I'm thinking of opting out and getting and Octavian Estate.

I'm torn between the SE Plus and Elegance as the SE Plus would suit me best but I do love a centre arm rest/storage console!

Anyway, given that there currently no VAT on the new cars (or equivalent) would I be pushing my luck trying to get an additional discount and/or free mats etc?

This will be my first brand new car and it has to make financial sense more than anything as my car allowance from work will be paying the finance so the cheaper I can get it the better!

Just look at drivethedeal. Best prices usually and something to make the dealers match. Bought my octy through them.

I'd expect a good discount from advertised depending on the model your choosing.

Derv or petrol.

Looking at the manual 140 derv

get a price from drive the deal or the like then use that to beat a number of dealers around the head with a wet fish - you will be surprised how much discount you can get.

It is also worth trying dealers nearer the end of teh month and/or quarter. They get manufaturers bonuses for reaching targets and if your deal will fetch that bonus on all the cars they sold in the previous period.............

You are in a great position to bargain as you have no trade in the deal is far more transparent for you. A great position to buy online where trade ins are not favoured. Get online prices if dealers cannot match or come close then take the plunge and buy online.
