Just baught myself a MK2 VRS :)

Featured Replies

Hi guys

After owning my Mk1 vRS for 3 years, the time has come to finally upgrade. I had to travel to Harrogate to go see the new car (really really boring drive). This was the 1st test drive of a Mk2 and i absolutely loved it. Its a 2007 model with 52000 miles on and its just had 4 new tyres, cambelt, water pump and discs and pads replaced. I was quite suprised that they dont come with a spare wheel :| Future plans are to get a milltek turbo back exhaust (Anyone had any experience of these? My other half said she would murder me if i made the car loud so im not looking for a system thats too noticeable when pootling around or at idle) CAI or something like an EVOMS and then a remap. I'll post some piccies up once i have it

Cheers

Fair play. Welcome to the MKII club. How come you didn't got for the facelift?

Abit too expensive and there weren't that many Mk2's for sale round my area. Been waiting about 2 Months for a good one to come up and even then i still had to travel 90 miles to view/buy it

i thought the MK2 pre FL always came with a spare wheel, Go for a resonated Miltek exhaust its slightly quite than the non resonated which i have, but then the wife had no say in it haha.

My last car was a 2007 L&K and there was no spare wheel with that, it had to be ordered as an extra.

Mac

MkII (pre-FL) UK spec vRS's got a spare steel wheel as standard.

If there isn't one fitted then it has been removed.

Do ye all really do what ur wife's tell u on here , the best ever is this she who must be obeyed bull lol

Mine has a spare, I looked at a pre-FL vRS car a couple of years ago that had an inflation kit.

Spare wheel here too.

Why not do the upgrades in the reverse order - remap first (as has the biggest bang for your buck by far surely), then suspension, then exhaust, which is probably mostly cosmetic anyway :)

sorry to hijack the post but i will be selling my 06 vRS petrol very soon if any good to you 55k full Skoda history just had full service and m.o.t , cambelt been done etc got all the options from new apart from satnav in silver and is pristine i also am exremely fussy about my cars and took me months to find this one when purchased

Sounds perfect mate especially the milage but am after a race blue one with the 18 inch wheels and would like cruise also.Me and the mrs are very fussy when buying cars lol.....thanks anyway

Yes spare standard at that year, and to others it is not a pre FL, it is a M2. It is Mark one, mark 2, and a plastic surgeon-ed one . when the Octavia 3 comes out will the FL no longer be called that and a pre Mark 3

Yup 195 spare in the wheel well. Was definitely standard back then.

That's where I bought my car from too. Congratulations on your purchase :)

Gonna have to disagree with you there!

MkI

MkII Pre-facelift

MkII Facelift

MkIII

NO NO NO NO it is a Mark 2 are you a pre pensioner

I hate the facelift with a vengeance

I agree its a MkII... pre-faclift

The problem with just calling it a MkII is that no one knows if its the pre-facelift or facelift which on a forum can lead to duff advice.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one
