Hi all I've recently changed my VW Polo sdi for a black Fabia VRS tdi 130, awesome and very fast compared to the last one!

Done 134.000 miles!! Only 1 previous lady owner who covered many motorway miles for work. Never missed a service with full Skoda main dealer history, last full service was 133k which included cam belt, tensioner and water pump along with a full clutch kit.

Drives like new and pulls like a train and in immaculate condition. Only thing is it's quite smoky but only noticeable at high engine speeds which I found after I had a blast in it (over the national speed limit).... Hoping the car should last me at least 12 months without any problems, I'll treat it reasonably gently given the high mileage :)

Are they quite reliable motors as it's been very well looked after?

Cheers guys.

I'll keep an eye out for your Fabia, I have seen a green one knocking about which sometimes looks dirty... Could that be you? LOL

Question - Where would you recomend taking my Fabia to for servicing/maintenance in Cumbria? I live a few mins from Border cars Skoda at Lillyhall, just wondered if there was any decent VAG specialists you know of?

don't know of any specialists, but i use border cars, they have been good, and suprisingly well priced , for my fabia II vRS 10k £85, 20k £150, got the 30k service comming up, and have been quoted between £100-150 :) (I did get an exact figure, I have just forgot! lol)

a few nice touches, leaving the top up screenwash, cleaning the outside, hoovering the inside ect :)

I used to take my Ibiza FR to Telfords Skoda in Carlisle and they used to leave the screen wash in the car and a 1 litre bottle of oil for top ups in a leather case, that was nice! lol

Might give Border cars a whirl as it's literally on my doorstep.... Those aren't bad prices tbh, not bad a all.

Although I've not had problems with them in the past, my latest dealings with them would suggest to avoid Telfords.

Hi & welcome very nice car
