That would be a big relief if it went worldwide and also increase the resale value.

I think this is actually very good news for all owners anyway. If they are warranting the box for 10 years in China and ours fails after 4 for example, we should have a good case to argue it shouldn't have failed and at the very least request a good will gesture towards replacement.

10 years! That's a brave move by VW. Hope it filters to us as well.

Better still, add it to the engine and hey presto, the best engine and gearbox combination there is for a small car.

There has been a 10 year warranty on DSG's in the USA for since 2009.
