Oil level has increased by quite a lot.......

Featured Replies

Ok, looks like I'm having the rising oil problem.

Octavia 170 PD TDi Vrs Injectors changed in Janurary this year and all was well. Had a service 13 April and an Oil Change. Every thing was looking ok and I kept an eye on the Rising oil problems some folk have had.

The oil in my octavia was just below the "Ball" on the dip stick. Just been out and checked it today and it's now above the " Ball " on the stick. The oil is very thin, i assume due to the heat. The car had been sat in the very warm weather for 3 days without being started

Will the rise in oil be due to the warm weather we are having or do i have the dreaded diesel in oil

The car runs fine, no problems at all although this last couple of weeks I've noticed a little puff of bluish smoke on start up. no smoke at all on hard acceleration. I would imagine the rising oil would have been from day one after an injector change but mine seems to have happened since the very warm weather

Thanks for reading.

I would pop in to my dealer just to allay my fears, I do hope yours is OK

Must check mine again, I'm nearly afraid too :(

What miles have u done since injector change?

Might be worth testing for diesel on a bit of coffee filter paper.

How does that work?
