Might try zapping the insides with mr muscle over cleaner to see what happens.....

Think you will need a connecting part off the outside of your old EGR valve as there seems to be nothing to actuate the anti shudder valve flap.

Yeah, it looks like that bit on the right will need transferring from the old unit (assuming its OK) - The one on mine looks to have snapped off - there is a small bit of plastic around the pin and that bracket is bare, where there is usually that black plastic thing.
