Interior Light rattle

Featured Replies

Unfortunately I'm one of those people who gets annoyed at any rattles/creaking in the car.

My interior light constantly makes a rattle noise while driving!

I'm thinking of packing it out, but I was wondering if there are any guides on removing it. I know it may be an easy job, but I don't want to break it in the process of removing it.

Cheers

Interior light is held in with 2 screws, so shouldn't rattle??

Unclip the lens and remove and check wether the screws are actually there.

Mines doing this aswell, sounds like a tiny dryed pea up there, it stops if i hold the lhs of the roof lining. Been meaning to sort it for ages!

Exactly the same issue! How do plan to rectify it?

As I said further up the post, check the screws.

Or take screws out if there, disconnect light and remove for further inspection. Easy.

I thought if i just popped the light out of the roof and as you said, pack it out, probley with what evers laying around in the garage!

Could do, but I would take the light out to investigate through the hole left in the liner as there's a little black electrical box (abs I think) that should be stuck to the roof but may have come loose therefore causing rattle or movement.

That's great info, much appreciated.

I'll give it a go this weekend.

Thanks again
