VRS TDI - How many miles?

Featured Replies

06, nearly 130k.

One set of glow plugs. Punctured Rad. Other than that, just the usual servicing, brakes and tyres.

  • Routine maintenance? Plenty. Non-routine maintenance? Plenty "That's right love, a Hybrid turbo is only £200 more than the standard unit, and much stronger......."

  • Only 62.500 miles at 7 year old, but still puts a smile on my face when pedal hits the metal. LOL

  • 119.000 with full skoda service history and mots and picked it up just shy £2500

'54 plate VRS, just turned 65K. Two rear shocks, two rear tyres, front ARB bushes. I've owned it for almost 1K.

Oops! forgot the wee things, two rear parcel shelf straps, two alloy wheel centre caps, one H7 bulb and all the nuts and bolts needed to do the mechanical work..

Not a VRS but TDI and 160K - runs very smoothly.. Having said that we should expect 200K plus from a modern diesel if properly maintained. My 1995 Corsa had an Isuzu 1.5 engine (which was noisy!) and was sold with over 250K and still going strong.

My 05 Fabia Vrs has just turned 36k reading above threads makes me think Ive got a bit of catching up to do

Regards Whoosh

i could have this in the bag here! just over 178,000 on my little vrs... stil on original engine and box too,

only 46k but felt I had to get involved.

The more the merrier :)

Nice motor btw.

51,000 56plate!! :D

54 plate with 84k

Just about done 4000 miles in the last 12 months.

and it's for sale...

Ok, serious question time. For people doing relatively high mileage, the Fabia tdi and vrs models make sense. Cheap to run and can still be entertaining. But for those doing lower mileage, what's the appeal?

Just the way it's panned out in my case, I usually do most of my

mileage in my van. I've had my vRS for about 3 years and when I bought it it had

above average mileage. It's below average mileage now.

When it's sold my new car won't be as economical to run but I doubt I'll

feel the need to spend thousands on it modding it either. It should balance out

in the end. But realising how little I drive my car has helped me to decide to

replace it.

only 113500 miles on my 04 VRS,

no reverse lamps currently

brake switch fitted last weekend

Eibach springs fitted at 32k on original shocks still

Ibiza cupra consoles fitted at 48k

drop links fitted at 48k

original rear discs, although very worn

original front discs, although had 312s fitted from 48k for 30k, before refitting originals

2 cambelt changes, original water pump

when i'm fit and well (currently recovering from major op to remove cancerous growth) i will get on top of the maintainance, then it should be good for another few years

I'm almost on 73k, although I bought it on 69,000 miles 6 weeks ago.

My Fiesta was one of the highest of the MK6's on ZSOC with 106,000 miles.

56 Plate Fabia VRS a Ballastic 67,000 miles

04 plate with 73,000 on the clock.Loads more years of enjoyment left in my baby

Not a Vrs (a Seat 1.9tdi FR) but just taken a 54 plate to 90k and no problems (other than the normal aesthetic yellow fade)!

The more the merrier :)

Nice motor btw.

Thanks

Well ive only picked mine up day before yesterday, 56 plate with 73500 on the clock and i can see me adding to that rather quickly..lol

Just bought mine @ 73k.

But I did see a 2003 plate vRS with 34500miles on it for sale!!

Bloke wanted a lot for it! Garaged, with all the extra's (but not the SE).

I've done 700miles in the last week!! Well you know what it's like when you get a new car..... :p

If it stays fine today I might give the vRS a wax.

104k on 55 plate. Brake light switch done 2 weeks ago along with two new tyres for front

Thats cos its a pup

I've just ticked over to 105k.

Still feels fresh as a daisy :)

In my cars 162,000 miles it has had a Turbo at around 120,000 miles. It was still standard at that point. When it was mapped the clutch started to slip a little, so that was replaced, gearbox went at 150,000 (lost 1st & 2nd). Apart from those it's just been th? usual brakes, bushes & other consumables. Drivers seat it pretty mullered, mainly due to my fat arse no doubt lol.

Currently running 200 odd bhp, gets used everyday for work & gets a good thrashing weekly, Santa pod etc

53 plate bought January 2011 with 31 k just ticked over to 59 k not missed a beat and loving it. Keep it well maintained and it will look after you.
