any tips with vinyl wrapping grille?

Recommended Posts

hi, decided im going to wrap the grille on my fabia. Is it fairly straight forward?, ive had a look on you tube however I found the videos not very helpful.

I was wondering if anyone has done it before? Is there anything I should watch out for and what vinyl should I use?? :D

thanks in advance

Con :D

I did mine in carbon last year for a bit whilst I waitedf to repaint it, looked ok, was a bugger to do!

my only helpful suggestion would be to make sure you do it from the middle out, or you'll get and overlap and stretch.

I bought the vinyl and it was a nightmare to do, after 2 go's at it I went to Halfords bought primer Skoda black magic paint and laquer, was about £21 then removed the grome section of grille, sanded for a key them primered, painted and laquered, easy and perfect job. Don't waste money on the vinyl it's far easier to spray, Halfors paint you can recoat in 15 mins so dosent take long.

It's simple to do I Matt black mine jut make sure you key the chrome properly or it will flake and the primer and paint post-74987-13385750306195_thumb.jpg but tbh no matter what you do it will chip because of where it is on the car
