Securing boot build

Featured Replies

To whom has fitted a boot build, can I use self tappers through the boot (metal) to hold it down?

You have an SE and are asking that question? :S

If i was you id make a template out of cardboard of your boot floor then turn that into mdf and pop that in the boot and screw to that.

Well its a stealth build, false floor jobby, so i have a whole boot floor template. I might leave it then, its quite solid atm.

Hoops or shackles around the four protruding loops near the floor IMO.

Heavy duty Velcro.

I've got this holding my sub and amp down in my boot. i paid £40 for mine with the wiring and i am soo pleased with it! its only a cheap fly trap one but i spent some time making sure all the wires were hidden and tucked away in the corner, this with the similar colour carpet in the boot makes it look like a tidy boot build!

i'll get some pictures and upload them :)

EDIT: This is the sub i use, i have it pushed right up against the left side of the boot. its a perfect fit between the two metal prongs sticking out and covers the writing on the side so all you see is the gray colourd cloth that matches my boot.

Its all wired up so theres no chance of me pulling it back up to stick Velcro on it LOL

I was expecting some one to have screwed it down. Its not like its rattling around and its a nice fit so I'll just leave it.

But i am using Velcro to fasten the lid on my false floor, that is rattling like mad.

FYI im planning on taking out my other amp and replacing it with a 8 inch stealth sub, so there probably be a Vibe Space box s4 amp going up for sale...
