Could you check your MAF plug PINs please?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Could someone do me a favour ?

The plug that plugs into the MAF ....... mine has 4 contacts, but 5 plastic apertures for the contacts. (So it 'looks' like one is missing).

Also, the MAF itself contains 5 pins that the plug goes on.

So .......... could someone please check their 'MAF Plug' (the plug that goes onto the MAF, not the pins in the MAF itself), and tell me how many metal pin contacts you have ... 4 or 5 ?

Many thanks!

Pretty sure mine is like that (tdi).

few weeks ago, noone wanted to undo 2 clips on the cambelt cover for me

Alot of us believe in, if it aint broke don't touch it, if you touch it it may become broke lol

Hi,

Just checked mine (1.8t 150hp)

It has 4 wires connected, one is no conection.

Looking at the car from the front, and the conector to the maf is inplace,

the rightmost pin is NC, no pin on the plug and no wire on the backside of the conector, I opened it to check.

Hope this helps.

Erm... it IS broke. Severely. 3 MAFs and constant ASR lights and MAF errors being thrown. (suspect this too maybe caused by the crap remap I have). Thanks for the help.
