Squeeky brakes

Featured Replies

Ive just fitted my new dimpled and grooved brakes to my vrs but when driving slowly i get a slight sqeek why is this its so frustrating ?

I think it's a microscopic judder just chamfer the leading edge on each pad and use some copperslip (sparingly)

Ive tried both :(

Front or back and does it stop or change when you apply the brakes?

To test the rear only, try the handbrake whilst moving, it'll warn you after a short time that it's on though.

if it's the rears, make sure the handbrake levers on the calipers move away freely when releasing the handbrake. There are several threads on here about fitting "helper springs" to the levers.
