Blackvue Help

Featured Replies

Hi

I got my BLACKVUE 400HD from the group buy on here a few months ago. I have never been able to get it to play back properly on my PC. The image is poor and Jumpy, towards the end of the clip it then jumps like 20-30 seconds. I am trying to view the video through the Blackvue player. I have even sent it back and had a brand new unit, but it's no different. It's been formatted and updated with new software too.

Any ideas?

Should I be trying to play the video through a different player? What do you others with Blackvue use to view the video?

Thanks,

Joe

No idea to be honest.. I just use the Blackvue software. Have you tried using it in something else like media player?

I was going to suggest formatting the card.

I'm formatting the SD card now, I'll then upgrade to the firmware (again!)

Joe, try to play it using VLC player, you can download it free from the net. So far it never fail to open for me any video file.

I'll give it a go.

Thanks

Otherwise, try playing it back on another computer with a better spec.

My footage jumps on the work computer due to hardware limitations.

Also, the camera always jumps back 3 seconds every minute / clip length, in case something is ever missed at that point of crossover. It is supposed to do that. 30 seconds though is not.

The VLC player plays the file slightly differently than the Blackvue player, but no better overall. I just wish I could get it to work

I'll have to try another PC

There is another viewer program you can use that does the full GPS tracking thing like the BlackVue software does, only with extra functionality. It's written by a Russian guy who didn't like the BlackVue software and thought he could do a better job! Fair play to him!

I've downloaded it at home but I'm at work at the moment and can't remember the name of it...I'll check when I get home tonight and post on here.
