Hi Skury, really interesting selection of Funs there. For me some really work others just don't. Are you running your pair in standard colour trim or something just a little more daring?

cheers for the help , i dropped it off less than an hour ago seen that many colour slids my heads done in ! think i picked 7 in the end and said call me when its done !!!! so it looks like we all going have to wait and see how it comes out ha ha .........

so this is the store so far for my little fun truck ,,,,,,,,,,stage 1

its my birthday next week and my wife keeps asking what would i like ? few jokey innuendos from the start as you do but i said ill leave it up to you babe ..

so she hits me with ! if i get rid of my not so fun looking fun truck she will buy me a new motor ! my little ears ***** up and i start looking . she knows one of my fav's is a mazda rx8 then she arranged for me to pick her up in the truck and go look at one!..

sat in it , drove it ,opened the mad rear doors, not many miles on the clock , went to do the deal , but iv got to part ex the fun !!

all through this lovely day were having iv got alarm bells ringing by the way , the car dealer is giving it the big push my misses is pushing it to the point where she'd prefer get a taxi back home than take the fun back home ! well you all must know how you love doing somthing you dont want to do .so told the dealer you couldnt get much in the back of it in the most politest way i could at that time said to the wife your more than welcome take a taxi home but im keeping the fun

stage 2

after not talking to me for a few days which was bliss he he came she,d pay to up grade the fun !! i met a man who know's a man and he said he can do it this week for me

stage 3

misses happy im happy bloke whos doing it is happy

looks like all my moons are in line ah ! but i cant make the call and pick the colour ! ha ha ha

so from my end fellow fun truckers , ill put the pics up soon as i take em

I have 2 Funs... One is in original colors (yellow+ocre), second is in original colors + chameleon pearl... I want almost original style. With pearl it is very beautiful. I like it.

Hi ya Ric, Well done mate fellow Funsters think alike & should be fiercely defencive of the brand!

Stage 1 - Sounds like you've passed the first test as there's always potential for spouse attack. I'm still defending the honour of the fun against overwhelming odds.

Stage 2 - That's what you call a result. I've been trying to swing the same case with the other half but there's two forms of hope with that one - Bob & no freking :'(

Stage 3 - Could it be a 'pimp my ride' unveiling type moment. Cross fingers you like it & look forward to the piccys

Hi mate, the centre caps came about by my lad's over vigorous polishing which removed most of the yellow! They didn't then look that great & didn't fancy just going back to yellow hence the green option. Over time I now prefer them as they provide a better contrast to the wheel. The green smudge on the pillars is the monster energy symbol replacing those bloody awful frogs :S Apart from some tailgate graphics & the trusty Brisky sticker in the back window, she's pretty much running standard

i was called in to the paint shop today !! its not a pretty site !! you wouldnt belive how much work has got to be done .. the rear arches are hanging on by the skin of there teeth ! iv had someone do these befor ,, looks lick i got ripped off befor !! not a happy bunny .........

Sorry to hear that, it sounds like an added headache. It's often the case that more comes to light once you start digging around, especially with body kits fitted. I've seen some real horror stories with seemingly immaculate Golf GTI's that seriously aren't once exposed

Sadly they're all prone to rust particularly in commonly repetitive areas. Keeping on top of it is the key but in many cases it's out of sight out of mind! I'm sure you'll get there

Once upon a time there was a white/dark green one resprayed by a dealer in Scotia. It had a one-off stainless rear framework with a green Truckman style soft cover. It finally met it's end last year in Petersfield.

There is a section that comes out from the rear curve, where the black straps are, that aligns with the tailgate. The soft-truckman then goes from the groove on the "roll-over" to the bar above the tailgate, and all three sides. (not been fitted yet - not got round to it)

(Note, she's no longer on steelies...........back on the yellows! :) )
