Hiya,

was looking for another furby vrs really, but your car looks interesting. I've had a diesel octy vrs before too, so know what they are all about.

can I ask please, how long have you owned the car and how many owners including yourself ?

Has it always been serviced on time and by skoda?

how much like is left in the tyres and what make are they please?

do you have an invoice for the cambelt/water pump and was this done by Skoda?

is the car HPI clear? when is the next service due?

has it had any accident damage/bodywork repairs?

any scuffs, scratches, dents car park dings anywhere?

are the alloys scuffed/damaged at all?

how long ago was the leather done and is it damaged in any way, scuffs, scratches etc?

when is the tax and mot due?

Sorry if you've answered some of these questions in your listing but it partialy vanishes when you press the 'reply' button!

just to add, I would just come and look if you were local, but I'd be coming from bristol on the train!!

many thanks.

sorry. forgot to ask, are there any warning lights lit on the dash, CEL etc ? and can the traction control be switched on and off and the light on the dash goes on and off respectively? - there's a big problem with the ABS unit on these (among many other VAG cars) and peeps have started to disable the warning light so it doesn't come on.

Hi,

Thanks for asking the questions, i will endeavour to respond to them all:

  • "how long have you owned the car and how many owners including yourself ?"

I bought the car in September 2008 from JCB Skoda in Basildon (the car was registered on 29th November 2007). The car was previously owned by JCB Skoda and was used by their Area Manager for 8-9 months. when i bought the car it had covered 9800 miles only. So, the car has had only two owner from new, 1 being JCB Skoda and the other being me.

  • "Has it always been serviced on time and by skoda?"

Yes, i am a very particular car owner whom likes things to be just right with my car. The car has always been serviced, on-time, by my local Skoda Dealer (Motorline Skoda, Dartford), please feel free to contact them to verify.

  • "how much like is left in the tyres and what make are they please?"

The two front tyres are mid-range tyres, one Nexan and the other Arrowspeed, the Nexan was put on during the MOT in November and the Arrowspeed was put on about a month ago, both have plenty of tread. On the rear i have 2 x Veredstein Ultrac Sesanta, they have been on the car for sometime and have about 3mm each. The spare tyre has never been used.

  • "do you have an invoice for the cambelt/water pump and was this done by Skoda?"

Yes, the cambelt was replaced by Skoda (Motorline Skoda, Dartford) and i do have the receipt/invoice. The water pump was not changed at the same time, they said that it wasn't leaking so didn't need changing.

  • has it had any accident damage/bodywork repairs?

The car has had a repair to the windscreen so a scare is visible.

  • "any scuffs, scratches, dents car park dings anywhere?"

As you would expect from a car that has covered 78,000 miles, it does have a few minor stone chip on the front bumper, i did get some quotes to get them repaired and they were coming in at about £150. I could get them repaired but as you will be aware i will just add that onto the price. As far as i can see that was all.

  • "are the alloys scuffed/damaged at all?"

Some of the Alloys do carry some minor scuffs.

  • "how long ago was the leather done and is it damaged in any way, scuffs, scratches etc?"

I had the leather done when i bought the car in September 2008 (i also have the receipt). It is in great condition with NO damage, scuffs or scratches.

  • when is the tax and mot due?

Tax - Sept or October 2012 (i am not with the car so can't remember which month it is)

MOT - November 2012 (all previous MOTs have been carried out by Motorline Skoda)

I hope i have answered all of your questions satisfactory, If you have anymore please contact me on the number provided or again via Briskoda. I am more than happy to supply another information.

Sorry, i didn't see the final question at the bottom,

sorry. forgot to ask, are there any warning lights lit on the dash, CEL etc ? and can the traction control be switched on and off and the light on the dash goes on and off respectively? - there's a big problem with the ABS unit on these (among many other VAG cars) and peeps have started to disable the warning light so it doesn't come on.

  • I can confirm that i have no warning lights on and the traction control works perfectly.

Hi, that's great thanks. When I said traction control, it's actually esp (I think that's what it's called). It's the ABS unit that fails and throws the ESP light on permanently. Any chance of some better photo's via email if I pm you my email address please?

Like I say, I am interested, but I'm in Bristol so it's a treck to come and view and I'd want to be certain as possible that I'd want it!

Thanks again.
